About us

The Japan Business Aircraft Association (JBAA) was established in May 1996 as an incorporated nonprofit organization (in April 2001 it was renamed the Japan Business Aviation Association). Up until the present, we have contributed to the development and expansion of Japanese business aviation with our members ’ cooperation. It is essential to have more knowledge and informational exchange between our members for the further development of Japanese business aviation. We sincerely hope that you will understand the aviation policy and present situation in Japan as well as the process for achieving the smooth operations of business aircraft in future.

Membership

Role

JBAA has assumed the role of popularization of business aircraft and the improvement of flight access. JBAA is also very proud to be members of the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) and the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA). By doing so we have contributed to aviation rulemaking and the promotion of IS-BAO (International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations) that aims at of business aviation safety improvement.

Main Activities

  1. Conducting studies and making proposals for the improvement of related legislation and the establishment of safe and orderly flight operations.
  2. Participation in studies, surveys and discussions related to the demand for business aviation, matters of request and policy development as a member of international organizations related to business aviation
  3. Publication of bulletins and other publications; hosting lectures and study meetings.
  4. Conducting other activities necessary to achieve the purpose of this Association.
